Why Use Silverstripe

As with any CMS, there are main 3 questions:

• Is it quick/easy/effiecent for me to build a website,

• Can I build what I want - not what the system dictates,

• Is it easy for me or my client to use the CMS to make general updates.

There are also some secondary questions:

• Is the code secure, reliable, bug free, and updated regularly,

• Is there help available so I can learn the system.

I tried a number of CMS systems before I settled on SilverStripe. I saw the advantage of using a CMS, but in general I found them tricky to use and slow to build, and above all confusing for the site owner to manage. They either had far to many options to set before you can even start, or were too simple and too limitting.

I finally found SilverStripe about three years ago, and it soon became clear that it answered all the above questions with a clear 'Yes'. Since then, I've created dozens of sites using SilverStripe, and I'm always discovering ways of making the build process more and more efficient.
